Native Computing Units (NPUs) from Q.ANT leverage light to enable ultra-fast and energy-efficient computation. By using photons instead of electrons, NPUs can significantly accelerate operations like matrix–vector multiplications, which are at the core of many HPC and AI applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and photonic hardware. The student will be part of a research team exploring how NPUs can enhance computational performance, helping to develop, benchmark, and optimize AI and HPC applications for next-generation computing platforms.
