• Working in our team, you will be providing consultancy to scientific users and research groups working on the forefront of AI
• You will collaborate with scientific user communities and research groups working on the forefront of AI
• You will take over a responsible role concerning developing ideas for scientific and infrastructure research projects and participate in preparing/writing the corresponding proposals 
• You will be advising researchers and academic users of an ever-growing AI service infrastructure in order to foster and optimize their system usage (e.g. efficiency, scalability)
• You will support/assist our dedicated team in providing second and third level support to those groups
• You will have access to latest AI and high-performance computing hardware (GPUs, CPUs, AI accelerators, etc.)
• You will be in direct contact with technology providers and developers (hardware/software) as well as national and European collaboration partners and projects
• You will find a friendly and open work environment in a highly motivated, international team with plenty of opportunities to develop your own ideas

• Proficiency working in Linux environments
• Extensive knowledge and practical skills applying Machine Learning/AI applications, frameworks, methods and models (e.g. Python, PyTorch, JAX, LLMs, etc.)
• Good knowledge in configuring/working with software containers (e.g. Docker) and/or package managers (e.g. pip or Conda)
• Willingness to keep up with current developments and learn new technologies 
• Good English and/or German writing and presentation skills
• Friendly personality to foster contact with academic user communities
• Master’s degree in computer or data science, or other areas of scientific computing

• Ideally some years of applied data analytics and machine learning / AI experience in research environments
• Ideally experience in working with/on high performance cluster systems (e.g. using workload/resource manager systems, parallel file systems, parallel model training) or large scale cloud systems targeting machine learning / AI / data analytics workloads
• Git, GitLab, CI/CD
